About The Class
Fine furniture and cabinet makers all have one thing in common: the ability to accurately and efficiently use hand tools. In this class we will cover basic set-up and use of a number of common hand tools including planes, saws, and chisels. We will also cover the basics of sharpening as the most dangerous tool in the shop is a dull tool. Students are encouraged to bring a block plane, bench plane, and chisel if available.
